Psychosomatic disorders are such somatic illnesses where psychological factors – such as fantasies, notions, emotional experiences – play a key role in originating, development and outcome of a disease. That’s why the successful treatment of such a disease is possible only if there is a parallel work, cooperation of a medical (somatic) doctor and a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
